Position: Pharmacist – National E Health Program 
Department: National E Health Program, Ministry of Public Health
 
  1. Background & Context
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has been leading pharmaceutical sector reforms, including the implementation of the MediTrack pharmaceutical traceability system aligned with GS1 standards. MediTrack supports medicine tracking from importation to patient dispensing, enhancing transparency, safety, and efficiency across the pharmaceutical supply chain.
  1. Rationale for Recruitment
The Pharmacist position is required to ensure the accuracy, validation, and operational functionality of pharmaceutical data within MediTrack. The role fills a critical operational gap by supporting system implementation, stakeholder compliance, and data governance across MoPH and external partners.
  1. Position Objectives
To ensure timely, accurate, and secure pharmaceutical data management on MediTrack; support nationwide system implementation; and strengthen data-driven pharmaceutical governance.
  1. Core Duties & Responsibilities
  • Update and validate pharmaceutical product data on MediTrack.
  • Enter data related to donations and non registered medications.
  • Add and update GTINs and review reception data.
  • Ensure compliance of newly registered medicines with MediTrack rules.
  • Support inspections and patient level dispensing approvals.
  • Conduct field visits and provide technical support to stakeholders.
  • Support training and capacity building activities.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Head of the National E Health Program.
  1. Expected Outputs
  • Monthly reports on registered pharmaceutical stakeholders.
  • Monthly implementation progress reports.
  • Field visit schedules and completed questionnaires.
  • Training session records and follow up reports.
  • Periodic implementation status and recommendation reports.
  • Monthly report pertaining to the above activities and attendance schedule
  1. Required Qualifications
Education:
  • PharmD, MSc in Pharmacy, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical supply chain management; public sector experience preferred.
Competencies & Skills:
  • Knowledge of Lebanese pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical and health products management.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Languages: Arabic and English required; French is an asset.
 
  1. Reporting & Supervision
The Pharmacist reports directly to the Director of the National E Health Program and works in close coordination with MoPH departments and partners.
  1. Contract Type & Duration
Full time contract, duration of one year.

Ministry of Public Health, Jnah, Beirut, Lebanon.
